The recent transport roadshow proved to be very popular with good attendance across all of the villages covered. Nottinghamshire County Council would like to thank you all for participating and to report back to you with our proposals to revise the 367 to resolve some of the key issues raised.

The key issues found were :

  • the overcrowding on the early service in to Newark with both Collingham and Winthorpe passengers having to stand.
  • The loss of the 2:00 journey from Newark  to the villages
  • The level of Saturday service

To resolve this they are proposing to change the morning journeys from Harby to operate at 9:03, this will then compliment the current 9:28 service from Collingham allowing the 2 routes to cover Collingham and Winthorpe and reduce the overcrowding on the current service. To make this useable for concessionary pass holders we will accept passes on the 9:03 run. This service will operate as normal to Collingham and then serve the Hemplands before running down High Street to Winthorpe.  Woodhill Road, Braemer Road and Swinderby Road will continue to be served by the original service.

The 1:03 journey from Newark which connects in Collingham for onward journeys to the villages remains and they have added a return journey from Newark at 2:03 which will serve the villages directly. Combined with the earlier arrival time in Newark (9:59) this allows for a 3 or 4 hour visit.

The Saturday timetable has been changed to add in additional runs both in to and from Newark.

A copy of the revised proposals is attached for your reference.

Whilst the proposed changes do address the main concerns of the passengers met at the roadshow there will be some passengers who may be less happy. NCC have tried to balance the needs of the smaller villages and Collingham in revising the timetable and your feedback would be welcome, it is hoped that the changes could be introduced as soon as possible so NCC would be grateful if you could feedback comments by the end of next week (Friday 19th July).
